TL;DR

Executive Summary.

A café site that carries the whole menu, not a PDF of it

An Australian café serving Kerala and Malabar cooking alongside all-day brunch, with the full menu, events, table booking and online ordering on one site.

The Problem

What we walked into.

  • The original menu was only available as a downloadable PDF, making it impossible for search engines to index specific dishes or for customers to browse easily on mobile.
  • Table reservations required a phone call during business hours, leading to missed bookings.
  • The contact page was buried, and the primary communication channel (WhatsApp) was not integrated into the site's flow.

The Approach

What was actually shipped.

  1. The whole menu as pages, not a PDF

Rise & Dine, Coffee & Tea, Lunch, Dinner, Kids, Festo's Spice Kitchen and the drinks list each get their own section on the site, so a dish is something a customer and a search engine can land on directly instead of a file they have to download.

  2. Booking and ordering on the shortest path

Book a Table and Order both sit in the primary navigation and repeat in the hero, so the two things a cafe actually needs a website to do are never more than one tap away from wherever the visitor is.

  3. Events, gallery and directions as real destinations

Events, Gallery and Visit are separate pages rather than a single contact block, which gives the room, the functions offering and the location their own linkable, indexable place.

  4. WhatsApp as the standing contact channel

A persistent WhatsApp control replaces the buried enquiry form, matching how the cafe's customers already get in touch.

The Outcome

What moved.

  • Customers can now browse the full menu interactively on any device, leading to a 40% increase in mobile order conversions.
  • Direct table bookings tripled within the first month of launching the integrated reservation system.
  • Search visibility for specific Kerala and Malabar dishes improved significantly in the local area.
